The Sansonina Merlot IGT 2012, produced in Peschiera del Garda by the Sansonina winery, has conquered the gold medal at the “Mondial du Merlot & Assemblages,” sponsored by the International Organisation of Vine and Wine. The competition has reached its 8th edition with the record participation of 440 wines from 25 countries. The same wine has achieved a score of 85/100 in the Andreas Larsson tasting “Tasted 100% Blind”.

Produced from 100% Merlot grapes, the Sansonina is aged in oak barrels for 18 months before final assembly in large vats where it stays for another 30 days. Also it rests for at least six months in bottles before going on the market.
