His “Anguilla a tutta Birra” (Eel with beer) is one of the most unforgettable dishes you can taste this summer on Garda: the perfect synthesis of the cuisine of Matteo Felter, who has been for 11 years the chef at the luxury five-star Grand Hotel Fasano in Gardone Riviera. A passionate and chef, at the same time very refined, which has for some time been increasingly distinctive with the articulated proposal of the Fagiano, the gourmet restaurant of the wonderful hotel led by brothers Olliver and Patrick Mayr. The place, open also to the public, hosts from Tuesday, May 23rd, the event “Friends in Kitchen”, a cycle of culinary appointments during which Felter will host five friends and colleagues in his kitchen for as many “summit meetings” in the name of Italian enogastronomic excellence (and not only).
The debut will be a Garda-Franciacorta match: Felter will cook with Stefano Cerveni, patron of the one Michelin star Due Colombe of Corte Franca, but also author of the gastronomic proposals at the Terrace of the Triennale of Milan. It will be an ideal occasion to visit the Fasano, take a drink in the kitchen and above all taste the dishes prepared for the occasion by these two great Brescia chefs.
The cycle will continue on June 19 with Roberto Proto of the Saraceno restaurant in Cavernago (Bs), while on July 26 will be the turn of Tomas Kavčič, a real star and a testimonial of Slovenian gastronomy. On September 18, Enzo Bellia will arrive from Relais Chateaux Castel Fragsburg in Merano. The closing of the program is scheduled for 18 October with Nicola Laera de La Stüa de Michil in Corvara (Bz) together with the pastry chef of St. Hubertus Andrea Tortora. Price per person is 90 euros including drinks, info and reservations at 0365-290220.
