It has a very peculiar name, the new Garda Dop Consortium festival dedicated to extra virgin olive oil: it is called WardaGarda and takes its name from the Lombard name that indicated Garda. The appointment is scheduled on 3 and 4 September in Cavaion Veronese, on the Verona shore of the lake, where else, the Consortium has its headquarters in the frame of Torcolo Court: and here the festival will develop in two days of workshops tasting and pairing, cooking shows, tours, art exhibitions, Dop products markets, traditional cuisine and live music.

Worth noting especially the tasting workshop to learn how to taste and match the oil (Saturday 3 at 4 pm), and followed at 5 pm by the show cooking by Bruno Bassetto, which will offer the Garda oil DOP in combination with certified quality meats (the two events will also be replicated Sunday respectively at 3 and 4). There will also be a market for Dop products, like Garlic Polesano and IGP Vialone Nano rice, in addition to an exhibition of Valerio Marini with his illustrations dedicated to oil women producers, and on both evenings there will also be the chance to stop for dinner with local products thanks to the gastronomic proposal of the Pro Loco. And to learn more about the territory of the Garda DOP production, Sunday 4 at 10 am there will be a walk through the olive groves open to all arriving at Fortino di Cavaion.
