Lugana look to the east and teams up with Bardolino for the anticipation of the 2015 vintage: it will be the beautiful village of Lazise, on the Verona coast of Lake Garda, to host in the days of Sunday 6 and Monday, March 7, the preview of the new vintage of Lugana, Bardolino and Bardolino Chiaretto. The joint initiative is signed by the respective Consortiums: it will involve 90 producers for a total of more than 300 wines for tasting. The preview of Lazise is nothing new for the Bardolino, which is celebrating the eighth edition, but is definitely a debut for Lugana. The first day will be dedicated to the public opening from 10 am to 6 pm, the second will be reserved exclusively for professionals. Altogether the two Doc, bordering along the Mincio, now represent a surface area of 4500 hectares and comprise a production of 42 million bottles, with 17 million of Bardolino, 15 of Lugana 15, and 10 of Chiaretto Bardolino. The total annual sales figure is 125 million Euros.

“We believe in the value of land – said Franco Cristoforetti and Luca Formentini, respectively presidents of Bardolino and Lugana-. This is why we felt it important to present ourselves together in an initiative that is set to become one of the major national wine previews “.
