Last stop for the 2016 Lake Fish Menu Festival on Lake Garda, 15 dinners dedicated to “freshwater fish cuisine”, which, after its debut last September 9, has recorded increasing acclaim, with many sold out evenings and outstanding prospects for the year 2017. The long journey of the itinerary wanted by the Garda Wines and Flavours Road together with the Garda Dop Oil Consortium ends on Friday, December 16 at the restaurant of Villa Sostaga in Gargnano, a place of great beauty framed by a 40-hectare park which houses the boutique hotel of the same name created in 2004 in an aristocratic building of the late ‘800, hunting residence of the Feltrinelli family, with a breathtaking view of Lake Garda. The restaurant is also open to the public and welcomes guests in the panoramic veranda, in the Liberty Hall or Clarabelle room for particular and very romantic dinners.

But here’s the menu created for the last evening of the festival:

Olive wood smoked lake trout with warm pancake, chestnuts and salted Tomba butter

Carnaroli del Pavese rice with citrus and Perch creamed with extra virgin olive butter

Whitefish with porcini mushrooms and Castegnato polenta

Grandmother Martina cake with salted caramel.

The menu is proposed as always at the agreed price of 30 euro all inclusive and it is necessary to check availability and book at 0365-791218.

Guest winery of the evening will be Ca ‘Maiol from Desenzano, one of the “big” signs of Lugana that will match its precious labels to the dishes.
