San Martino, a weekend between history and taste

It will be a particularly eventful weekend, the one that will be organized to commemorate the Battle of San Martino and Solferino, fought 157 years ago, to be exact on June 24, 1859. The events will begin in Solferino Friday 24 and then continue on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 in San Martino della Battaglia with the historical reconstruction of the battle, which will be staged in the park of San Martino Torre since the morning of Saturday 25. Guided tours of the exhibition on the great War, and a big gala concert will conclude the day; Sunday 26 the day will start at 10 with more guided tours and other initiatives that will continue throughout the day. From 4.30 pm the real re-enactment itself. Selva Capuzza farm and restaurant will host at 6,30 pm “Here, by chance, that day”, a recital dedicated to those far far evernts. Special menus will be offered to tourist by the agriturismo under the Tower: and for wine lovers there will also be the chance to discover the San Martino della Battaglia Doc, a real Lake Garda gem, a white wine made from Tocai vines that in this area was renamed Tuchi.
