The Drink Pink people invaded Moniga del Garda on the weekend between Friday 2 and Sunday, June 4, for the tenth edition of Italy in Rosa: a public composed mainly of young people, demanding winelover but also enthusiasts and curious , which led the Garda event to unprecedented success. The organizers estimated a passage of more than 8,000 people, of which more than 4,000 bought the glass to taste the over 200 wines presented this year at the event by more than 140 wineries from all over Italy. A great result favored by the hot summer weather, but also by the charm of the 14th-century castle of Moniga, which for the occasion was illuminated in pink in the nocturnal hours creating a strongly suggestive effect.

“The budget goes far beyond expectations,” says Italia in Rosa president Luigi Alberti. The extraordinary growth trend that has accompanied the event since the first year has now reached levels that require a reflection for the future. That is why we are already working on the 2018 edition with the aim of further qualifying the organizational formula, orienting it towards a proposal that is increasingly geared towards technical deepening, guided tastings, meetings with experts as emerged from the public’s request. ”

And this week it will still be pink in color thanks to the axis with Puglia, represented in Moniga by the deGusto Salento association, a group of 18 producers who are faithful to the Negroamaro guest at Moniga to honor an alliance that will lead the Valtànesi producers in Lecce from June 8 to 10 for the appointment of Roséxpo, in which the Consortium will be hosted with a group of 15 companies to present the Chiaretto with full-range tastings and a dedicated masterclass.

“We want to network, with the territories that can boast an historical tradition in the production of rosé wines as ourselves,” said the president of the Consorzio Valènesi Alessandro Luzzago.
