Agraria Riva del Garda has won the first prize in the competition “L’Oro del Benaco”, organized every year by the Consortium for the Protection of Garda Dop Oil and dedicated to the best extra virgin olive oil of Lake Garda. The final ceremony of the third edition was held Thursday, June 11 in Riva: the winner has emerged with Garda Trentino Dop “Ulva”. Second place went to the Garda Orientale DOP “Fondo Brè” Agricola Guidalberto Marchese di Canossa in Verona, while the Garda Orientale DOP by the Consorzio Olivicoltori in Malcesine finished third. Fourth place for Fratelli Turri Srl with the Garda DOP Orientale, and fifth place for Olearia Caldera with the oil Garda DOP Bresciano.

A curiosity: the winner was given a natural sculpture created by the artist Giancarlo Fiorilli using olive wood.
