Wine & Jazz: five live nights in Mocasina

What do the worlds of jazz and wine have in common? Probably much more than you might think. And to the combination of these two great pleasures in life is dedicated the festival “Calvajazz”, to be held for five Wednesdays starting from January 25 until February 22 at the La Torre winery in Mocasina di Calvagese, one of the main wine producers in the Valtenesi area. On the bill some of the greatest musicians of the jazz scene from Brescia, who will perform directly in the winery: at every concert you will be able to match a tasting of La Torre wines, mainly produced with the local variety of Groppello grape (Mocasina, to be precise) accompanied by salami or cheeses, all at 10 euro. The event will kick off with the sax-guitar duo of Gianni Alberti and Claudio Crevoli, to continue in February with the Hot Three of guitarist Sandro Gibellini (1), with Bs Gipsy Trio (8), with the Bressanova by Paolo Milzani(15) and with Fluct, a duo composed of singer Elena Tavernini and bassist Giacomo Papetti who will close the event. All evenings will begin at 8.30 pm with free admission.
