After last week’s launch with the first two nights in Soiano and Lugana di Sirmione, the 2017 edition of the Lake Fish Festival. the now-classic gastronomic itinerary in 9 dinners at zero kilometers, goes on on Lake Garda in the restaurants of the Garda Wine Road and Gourmet Flavors celebrating sweetwater fish cuisine and tradition.

The third stage of the show is scheduled for Friday, October 13th at Cascina Capuzza, one of the most relaxing and suggestive frames you may want for a relaxing evening out with good food and good wine. Immersed in the quiet of the San Martino della Battaglia countryside, the restaurant is linked to the Selva Capuzza winery managed by the current president of Lugana Consortium Luca Formentini, one of the most important in the Lugana district, also known for its tenacious “mobilization” against the extinction of San Martino della Battaglia, the white wine made with Tuchì grapes (once called Tocai) whose territories overlap those of the luckier Lugana. Not to be missed for those who go to the Cascina, managed by Luca’s brother, Fabio, is a tasting of San Martino “Campo del Soglio”, an oenological gem of this area: but also Lugana and the other wines of the winery, which will naturally be coupled with the evening, will magnificently match the menu set up by the Cascina for the Review night. Here it is:

Welcome aperitif with sparkling wine and chef’s appetizers

Pike in Gardesana sauce with grilled polenta

Pappardelle with sardines

Grilled trout skewer baked in the oven with the garden’s salad

Cascina Sherbet

The total cost is set as always at 32 euros per person. Info and reservations at 030-9910279.
