Lugana, the historic white wine of Lake Garda cuts this year’s its 50th anniversary, and the celebrations continue on Friday, October 6, with a double appointment. In the afternoon at 3.30 pm in Lugana di Sirmione will be inaugurated in Piazza Casagrande the monument to the “Luganista”, strongly wanted by the Consortium in collaboration with the municipal administration. The inauguration will be followed at 5 pm by “Lugana with Taste in Sirmione”, a tasting bar in piazzale Porto where Lugana in its various types (from 2016 to refined to sparkling) will be matched with lake, land and vegetarian dishes in keeping with the typical flavors of the Garda. The event closes at 9 pm, will be free of charge until the seats are exhausted, and will also be held in case of bad weather: the registrations will be made directly on the spot.
