The arrival of Valentine’s Day marks the return of Valtènesi Chiaretto with the new vintage (2017): the occasion for an ideal toast in pink to lovers’ day, with over two million bottles (+ 10% on the last year) ready for the now customary launch of February 14th.

This year the new vintage will be celebrated at the Ais headquarters in Brescia (in via Triumplina 11), on the occasion of the traditional feast of Brescia sommeliers led by the delegate Alessandro Caccia, scheduled for Sunday 18 February from 10 am to 5 pm (free admission for members, 10 euros for any accompanying persons). Over 40 wineries present for the day, for a total of over 80 labels: a great tasting table to discover all the secrets of a definitely positive year.

“It is a great pleasure for us to accompany the toast of Ais Brescia to the new year – says the president of the Valtènesi Consortium Alessandro Luzzago -. Sommeliers are among the most important wine ambassadors: their role is strategic in promoting the typical characteristics of the territory. In this sense, our Consortium considers them important partners in the promotion work undertaken some years ago to tell all the news of our rosé and give new impetus to the name “.

The Ais delegation of the Lioness (as Brescia is called) is one of the most important in Italy: there are 960 members, including names now known nationwide as Nicola Bonera who, on the 18th, will also lead two important focuses on the Chiaretto.

“The party of mid-February is an important opportunity for us to meet and discuss – says the delegate Alessandro Caccia -. It is important to dedicate this appointment to one of the historical denominations of our province, as well as to a wine in line with the trends of the contemporary consumer that deserves to be known more in depth “.

The Brescia event of February 18th announces a season of major events in pink: the next stage is scheduled on 11 and 12 March at the Dogana Veneta di Lazise for the Anteprima Chiaretto, which will see for the first time the rosé of the two rivieras of Lake Garda, Bardolino and Valtènesi, together for two days with 80 producers and over 140 labels.
