The country of Macesina, a small village near Bedizzole, is really a special place: a corner of Valtènesi still intact at the gates of Garda Lake, which can give surprises to those who visit the largest Italian lake. This oasis of tranquillity, off the common trails of coastal tourist, is giving birth these days to a novelty designed to further enrich the range of proposals of Garda hospitality: it is a agrifitness, a new formula that combines rural tourism and well-being on which the agriturismo Macesina has chosen to bet. Already equipped with complete wellness area, the farm led by Roberto Mastinelli has now chosen to extend the proposal creating precisely a fitness area with gym and personal trainer service, which will be followed by the owner’s son, Alessandro Mastinelli (he has a degree in physical education).
“The agrifitness is a new formula that is slowly beginning to take hold in the segment of high-end holiday farms – says the owner -. We shall inaugurate on May 10 and we believe it can be certainly one of the most interesting news Garda has to offer fort summer 2015 in terms of hospitality. ”
Borng from a long and patient work of recovery and restoration of an old farmhouse dating back to 1600, Agriturismo Macesina has five rooms and one apartment for a total of 16 beds, in addition to swimming pool: it offers breakfast service but also catering exclusively for guests, which come 99% from abroad. “We had customers from all over the world, including Australia and Singapore – tells Martinelli-. We never expected that when we opened, and witness how today tourists move and organize itself in a different way thanks to the Internet.” The estate has 15 hectares of which one hectare for olive grove and the rest cultivated with maize for the production of maize flour produced by the cooperative Farine Tipiche del Garda (of which Mastinelli is a founding member). The wines served at the table are those of the Bedizzole wineries, and also the products are exclusively of the territory.
