Cascina Capuzza tells its story in San Martino

It’s been the first agriturismo in the whole Lombardy: a pioneer in opening the doors of Lake Garda to the concept of rural hospitality and the wine tourism. Thirty years later, Cascina Capuzza, a place that still retains its original charm in the quiet countryside of San Martino della Battaglia, traces its history on Sunday, May 22 on a night in which the entrepreneur Vincenzo Formentini, starting from 5.30 pm, will trace the stages of an adventure started by chance, telling the stages that led to the transformation of the Cascina. With the arrival in Lombardy  of the law on agriturismo, the company got the first regional license for this kind of activity, becoming in fact the first reality of this kind to appear in an area at the time still strongly marked by a rural connotation. Today Cascina Capuzza represents a 360-degree model of hospitality that has as its heart the winery, with a restaurant that combines the dishes to the wines (such as the wonderful San Martino della Battaglia Doc Campo del Soglio) and a charming country resort like Borgo San Donino. Those who want to stay for dinner after the story and sample the wines by Luca Formentini, son of Vincent and current president of the Lugana Consortium, can request information and book at 030-9910279.
