The international success of Lugana knows no borders: in 2014, the percentage of export on total production reached a record level of 80%, with an increase of 10% over the previous year. The first market is Germany, which represents 40% of total turnover, but the highest rates of development are mainly in the United States, where the Consortium has already planned two new missions scheduled for the next few months: the first will touch San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York, the second will be held in the autumn and will see the more and more appreciated white wine of Garda land in Florida, in Miami.

With a production now close to 14 million bottles, this also up 10%, and 150 wineries active on 1,350 hectares of vineyards, conducted mainly by young producers, Lugana is experiencing a strong growth trend also in the Netherlands, Denmark, England and Scandinavia, as well as in countries of the former Soviet Union and Japan.

“Our strategy aims to expand the areas of diffusion of Lugana in the world – says president of the Consortium Luca Formentini -. This is why we place great emphasis on international events like the Prowein in Dusseldorf or the International Wine Fair in London, where we will be in May, and every year we test new markets such as Poland or France. “
