The 2016 edition of the Lake Fsh Festival kicks off tomorrow night, Friday, September 9, at the Il Fiore restaurant in Desenzano, a place run by many generations by the Papa family and still continues its activities today with the careful management of Paola Papa and her husband Giuliano, working as a chef and sommelier, respectively. The strong points of the restaurant? An informal yet very warm atmosphere, picturesque view of the moraine hills of Lake Garda, and a home-style cuisine, with such dishes as tagliatelle, pumpkin tortelli, the famous caponsei (read here the recipe:

Chub Meatballs in Tomato Sauce
Pike in sauce gardesana with Valtènesi polenta
Risotto with tench
Grilled whitefish with rosemary potatoes
Vanilla ice cream with warm honey, pistachios, almonds and cinnamon
