There’s also Perla del Garda, among the Lake Garda wineries that have distinguished themselves at the last edition of the Decanter World Wine Awards, the world’s largest wine competition launched in 2004 by the British magazine Decanter. The company of Castelvenzago in Lonato took the prestigious podium of the contest with three labels: to stand out were especially the Lugana Doc Perla 2015 (86 points) and the red Benaco Bresciano IGT Filo Rosso 2012, recent new introduction in the winery range (88 points), who won the Bronze medal. Lugana Doc Madre Perla 2013, 84 points, has also earned the qualification as “commended wine”. An important milestone for Giovanna and Ettore Prandini, and a great way to celebrate the first ten years of activity which the winery, now one of the leading brands in the segment of the Lugana, celebrates in 2016.
