A week to rediscover the ancient traditions of the Garda Trentino with street shows, music and local cuisine: from Saturday 12 to Sunday, August 20, it’s time again for “Rustico Medioevo”, an inevitable appointment of the Garda summer again on the scene for the 31st edition in the charming village of Canale di Tenno. The event is without doubt the ideal occasion to discover this area of the Upper Garda and especially the “Tennese”, with the homonymous and fascinating little lake with crystal clear waters and its central islet, and a village, Canale di Tenno, that is still today fascinating with its alleys, its little squares, its perfectly preserved architectural core: it is no coincidence that it has been included in the Club of the Most Beautiful Villages of Italy.

This is the scenario that will welcome this year’s Rustico Medioevo festival, which starts on Saturday 12th at 6pm with the Medieval Market: 9 days of live folk music, itinerant performances with singers and costumes, banners and torches, and many typical gastronomy of the place: Polenta will be the main protagonist in various versions (from the classic Polenta Peveraaa to the one with rabbit or matched with stuffed hen), but do not miss tripe in broth and damp, Trentino Thrushes, until the evening Torte e Balconi (August 16) with a charity auction of cakes in the square and award of the best flowered balcony.
