Only 12 rooms, 100 meters from the port in the lovely village of Villa di Gargnano, in a nineteenth century mansion overlooking the lake with a Venetian red façade: this is the profile of the small but fine hotel Du Lac, a Three Stars, intimate and very particular structure that almost seems to lead its guests in a parallel dimension, in the suggestions of an ancient world that has now disappeared. All this without giving up the comforts of modern hospitality. The hotel is owned by the same Arosio which also leads the Gardenia Hotel, always in Villa: and again hospitality and atmosphere are typically familiar, with furniture from the early 20th century, lake-view balconies (for six rooms, while the other six overlook the main street, always quiet), an interior garden with a large Phoenix palm tree and ultimate peace. The kitchen of the restaurant La Bissa, entrusted in the hands of chef Massimo Gobbi, prefers local products without forgetting some international proposal. And all around, the magical charm of Villa and Alto Garda area. Info: www.hotel-dulac.it
