2016 promises to be a year full of commitments for Lugana Consortium: the intense schedule will ideally open on March 6 and 7 with the Lazise Preview, where the now famous white Garda wine will be present for the first time ever, inaugurating a partnership with the Consortium of Bardolino, which instead has now reached the eighth edition of this event. It will be an important showcase for vintage 2015, which this year came on the market for the first time only after the date of January 15. But there will also be the chance to experiment a 2014 vintage retrospective and a tasting of the Lugana Riserva introduced in 2011 with 24 months minimum aging (reserved for the press).

The Consortium will then be at the Prowein in Dusseldorf from March 13 to 15 (remember that German market is worth 40% of the global Lugana business), while April will begin under the sign of ‘Italian Wine Festival (1 and 2) in Copenhagen and will continue in Verona with the unmissable Vinitaly, scheduled from 10 to 13. And then London Wine Fair (May 3 to 5), while in June the Consortium will fly overseas for some events in US for buyers and press: USA are currently the market with the most attractive growth rates for the Lugana DOC, which in 2015 reached a record production of 15 million bottles.

In the second half of the year it will be time again for Armonie senza Tempo, the event that in the early fall brings together all the major wineries in a maxi-tasting that’s always sold out.
