Villa Feltrinelli Gargnano remains the top Lake Garda restaurant according to the Italian Michelin Guide 2016: that was the outcome emerged on the occasion of the official presentation of the book, now in its 61st edition. The “kingdom” of chef Stefano Baiocco is the only place on Lake Garda which according to the curators deserved recognition of the Two Stars, attributed, it should be remembered, to the restaurants “worth a detour” during a travel: and there are only 38 of them in the whole italian territory in this edition of the  Michelin.

There are indeed also eight Garda restaurants which have been awarded with the One Star recognition: the Brescia coast dominates with a series of now historic places as the Esplanade in Desenzano, the Tortuga in Gargnano, the Capiccio in Manerba, which are joined by Lido 84 in Gardone Riviera, which confirms the star won last year and continues to win acclaim at 360 degrees. Also on the Brescia side there’s La Rucola in Sirmione, while on the Verona Riviera we finda the Vecchia Malcesine, Casa degli Spiriti in Costermano and Oseleta in Cavaion Veronese.

Do not forget the Bib Gourmand section: the symbol signaling restaurants offering quality cuisine of typically regional character with a full menu less than 30 euro (35 in capital cities and in important touristic areas) went to Villa Aurora in Soiano and Cortiletto in Toscolano on the Brescia side, to the Locanda Moscal in Affi and Luisa Peschiera on the Veronese coast.
