Pizza & Garda, here are the “top” for the Gambero Rosso guide

There are also three Lake Garda pizzzerias in the guide “Pizzerie d’Italia 2018 del Gambero Rosso”: in Desenzano  Rossi & Rossi confirms the evaluation of One Spicchio (or slice) in the Italian Pizza category. Also on the Brescia shore the other address indicated by the guide is the Belvedere Da Marietta in Gardone Riviera (also in this case the rating is of One Spicchio in the Italian Pizza category). Finally, on the Veronese coast, and for precision in the hinterland of Bussolengo, Pizza and Beer confirms the Two Rotelle (or little wheels) in the take-away segment.

So in new edition of the guide, presented in Naples, there have not been big news strictly connected to Garda, although there are many recommended location in the near surroundings of the Lake. In Rezzato, just outside Brescia on the road leading to Benaco, the star of the Cascina dei Sapori by Antonio Pappalardo continues to shine brightly: this pizzeria is celebrating in 2017 ten years of constantly growing and evolving activity to which the Gambero has confirmed the Two Spicchi for the Neapolitan Pizza category, thanks also to a passionate research not only on dough but also on raw materials. In Valle Sabbia, precisely in Bione, Rock 1978 pizzeria has distinguished itself as a new entry with Uno Spicchio in the Gourmet Pizza category, while in Montichiari, ten kilometers from Desenzano, the place to go is Dal Dosso Salamensa (Uno Spicchio, also here in the tasting category).

On the Trento coast, gourmets in Riva del Garda could make a detour to Rovereto to try the Pizzeria Novecento of the Hotel Rovereto, Due Spicchi (Gourmet pizza), while in Veronese it is strictly adviced to make a few kilometers to reach the Tigli di San Bonifacio, Simone Padoan’s restaurant, which Gambero rewards with the highest recognition of the Three Spicchi and the Special Pizzas Award of the Year for Galletto (with lime spinach, tomato emulsion slightly spicy, and grenade fried meat roasted in the wood-burning oven). Also at San Martino Buon Albergo there is another Three Spicchi: it’s Saporè Pizza & Cucina, which also has won the Three Wheels in the twin location for pizza to go.
