A weekend to relive in a gourmet key the immortal love story of Romeo and Juliet: it’s the singular proposal launched by Gerardo Cesari of Cavaion Veronese, a prestigious winery leader not only in the Amarone but also in Lugana, which has organized a double date between winemaking excellence and romantic atmosphere. The events will obviously take place in the weekend of Valentine’s Day, when Cesari will propose a dinner in the winery’s barrel. In Verona, instead, from February 12 to 14, visitors will be able to taste four Cesari wines in the archive of the Juliet Club, an association of volunteers who devoted free time to answer letters that lovers from all around the world still write to the protagonist of the Shakespearean novel. Those who take parte in the tasting (at 10.30, 12, 4 and 5.30 pm) will have the opportunity to test themselves by responding to one of the letters arriving at the club. Cesari has also created the maps “Following Juliet”, which will drive lovers to discover the places in Verona that tell the most famous love story in the world. Info and reservations at 045-6260928.
