Valtènesi con Gusto, the best of Garda flavors in 9 dinners

Garda Dop olive oil Dop, lake fish, the wonderful wines of the Riviera, from Chiaretto to Lugana, and the suggestions of the Garda spring to set the mood: from March 10 it’s time again for “Valtenesi con Gusto”, an event promoted by the Consortium Oil Dop Garda with East Lombardy and Strada dei Vini e dei Sapori del Garda. The event takes the form of a route in nine, exclusive dinners that will unfold until next May 12 in some of the best restaurants in the Brescia side of Garda (with one exception in the town …).

The goal is to celebrate the perfect combination of fish and Benaco certified extra virgin, expanding the the range to other local products such as truffles and Alto Garda cheese. Each event will be combined with an olive oil producer, so as to provide room for all of the shades of the Garda “gold”, and even a winery with its labels. The debut is scheduled as said Friday, March 10 at the Cascina del Ritrovo in Lonato del Garda which will host the Società Cavaliere, producer of oil in Salò, and the wines of Agricola Averoldi of Bedizzole.

 

 

This is the timing of the subsequent events:

March 17: Antica Cascina San Zago in Salò (Oil: Azienda Agricola Novello Cavazza di Manerba; wines by Zuliani in Padenghe);

March 24: Lorenzaccio Restaurant in Brescia (Oil by Azienda Agricola Il Brolo di Polpenazze del Garda, wines by Le Gaine in Bedizzole);

March 31: Giglio Restaurant in Gardone Riviera (oil by Azienda Agricola Montecroce di Desenzano, wines by Franzosi in Puegnago);

April 7: Le Antiche Rive restaurant in Salò (oil by’Azienda Agricola Manestrini in Soiano del Lago, wines by Montecicogna in Moniga);

April 21: Ristorante Sostaga di Navazzo di Gargnago (oil by Cooperativa Agricola di San Felice del Benaco, wines by La Torre in Mocasina di Calvagese);

April 28: Villa Luisa in San Felice del Benaco (oil by Paolo Vezzola in San Felice, wines by Cantine Avanzi in Manerba);

May 5: Osteria dei Poeti in Manerba (oil by Rocca Pietro e Rita in Salò, wines by La Guarda in Castrezzone);

May 12: Osteria La Miniera di Gardola di Tignale (oil by ’Azienda Agricola Poggioriotto in Cunettone di Salò wines by azienda agricola Il Roccolo di Polpenazze).

All dinners will have a unified cost of 30 euro.
