That Lugana was a wine with great aging potential was something already known. But now the longevity characteristics of the increasingly demanded “Garda white wine” are subjected to a new test with the debut of the Riserva, the new type that the Consortium will officially present for the first time on the international stage of Vinitaly, in Verona, proposing it for tasting to the public.

Introduced with the amendment of the specification of 2011, the Riserva provides a minimum aging of 24 months and is a product conceived from the start for lovers of particularly evolved white wines.

“At the moment there are 13 wineries that have decided to produce this kind of wine – explains the president of Luca Formentini Consortium -. We are convinced that there will be surprises: most evolved tones, complex aromas, a warmer minerality, great persistence. ”

A wine that now just has to be tasted, maybe renewing the support to the producers of the area that at Vinitaly will relaunch the campaign #savelugana against the planned high-speed rail line, intended to cut the production area in two.
