The rosé wines festival of Lake Garda crosses the finish line of a ninth edition marked by a strong growth in both qualitative and representativeness: “Italia in Rosa” is back on stage from June 10 to 12 in Moniga del Garda (Bs) with 131 wineries and a total of over 170 rosé for tasting from all over Italy and also from France. All this will take place in the fascinanting frame of the Moniga Castle (12th century), with stunning views on the Lake: an ideal set for three days of tastings, discussions dedicated to the world of “pink drink”. To make the lion’s share will be the Valtènesi and Puglia, representing two of the Italian territories that aim to claim a winemaking tradition historically oriented to rose wines, but all areas of Italy will have their own space, Abruzzo Piedmont through Tuscany and Veneto, next to the Veneto Winegrowers and Donne del Vino stands. There will also be space for an authoritative representation of Cotes de Provence, protagonists of a guided tasting to be held Friday 10 at 8 pm, opened by Michel Couderc, Director of Studies and Economics Center of the Conseil interprofessionnel Vins de Provence, that the next morning, Saturday 11th, will present the 2016 Rosé observatory with the latest global trends in the traditional convention of Italia in Rosa scheduled at 10 at Villa Galnica Puegnago, home of Valtènesi Consortium.

Italia in Rosa 2016 is also becoming increasingly “social” thanks to the “Dinner in Rosa” scheduled on Saturday evening 11: participants with at least one item of pink clothing and table linens rose, can bring their own food (possibly pink that too) and dine on the lawn in a reserved area in the castle garden (who wants can also gear up with tables and chairs), getting a discount of 50% on entrance ticket and accompany their dishes with wines from the stands. Do not miss one food space with a tasting of typical dishes (off ticket), while at the stand of the Alpe del Garda you can taste the wonderful cheeses of this historic social dairy in Tremosine. Ticket costs 10 Euros, including bag and glass and unlimited tastings. Opening time is fixed in all three days from 5 to 11 pm. Guided tastings are free but to be booked on site www.italiainrosa.it.
