In San Zeno the traditional chestnuts festival

Saturday 22 and Sunday, October 23 in San Zeno di Montagna, on the eastern shore of Lake Garda, marks the beginning of the traditional Chestnut Festival of the San Zeno Dop Chestnut, which this year is officially also organic. The event will last for three weekends with a rich programm of tastings, moments of entertainment and cultural events of various kinds. Central point of the event will be the market of flavors where you can also taste local dishes like the typical Chestnuts Soup, who will star in a real “contest”. This year the festival also celebrates the achievement for St. Zeno Chestnut of the organic certification, a landmark achievement that sees over 70% of the production already certified: the goal is to reach 100% by 2018.
