Lake Garda will host the 60th International Congress of Amira, the association of Maitres d’Hotel: the appointment is scheduled for October 26 to 30 in Sirmione. There will be five very intense days of meetings and events, organized with the help of many local realities of the food and wine and hospitality world such as the Strada dei Vini e dei Sapori del Garda, the producers of Lugana Doc, the hotel associations, the Garda Lombardia Consortium, and the municipality of Sirmione: a pool that will aim to promote and welcome in the best way the historical association that focuses on the work and function of a professional figure that is central in the world of hotels and catering.
Hosted by the Du Parc in Colombare of Sirmione, the participants will be engaged in several moments including a competition of professional skill at the Catullo Hotel. On Tuesday 27 the Palacreb will host the conference “Feeding the planet and the art of Amira in modern catering”, during which many topics of hospitality and catering will be discussed including the integration of young people and the relationship with art and culture as fundamentally components for quality hospitality. Also on Tuesday the 27th from 6 to 7 pm there will be a public event in Piazza Carducci with “Sweet Harmony”, a great flambé show with preparation and tasting of sweets to the lamp. There will be themed dinners which include meetings with producers and the local wineries.
