There will also be a stage on Lake Garda in the first cross-border festival dedicated to the Breads of the Alps: the event is called “Lo Pan Ner”, is scheduled for Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 October, was conceived in 2015 in Valle d’Aosta and expanded this year to Lombardy and the Valposchiavo territory. Also involved is Garda with a stop in Toscolano, in the beautiful Valley of the paper mills, where on Saturday 15 from 10 am to 15 pm you can visit the Mulino di Camerate, an historic mill dating from the eighteenth century which will offer guided tours and demonstrations of grinding.

During the two days you will be able to visit historic mills and ancient ovens in 78 different places, in which the various still active ovens will be lit simultaneously for the baking of the black bread with flour ground in the mills and obtained from cereals and local crops. In the province of Brescia, in addition to Toscolano, the itinerary includes a number of other locations as Esine, Berzo Demo, Malonno, Corteno Golgi, Cerveno, Losine, Bienno, Nave and Collio. Everywhere you can participate in workshops of artisan bakery, milling rye and other grains, take part in tastings and other events: information and complete program on www.lopanner.com.
