The second edition of “Giardini d’Agrumi” (Ctrus Gardens) is scheduled for April 2 and 3: a truly unique event dedicated to the discovery of citrus tradition on Lake Garda. The organization is managed by the association of social promotion Terre & Sapori d’Alto Garda.

Citrus growing along the Riviera of Alto Garda Bresciano boasts ancient traditions: witnessing this historical tradition are the beautiful lemon groves, which were nothing if not covering structures to defend the plants from the winter cold. As part of “Citrus Garden” visitors, following the historical paths of via del Crocifisso e via San Giacomo, will have access to the lemon houses in Gargnano where citrus fruits are still grown today, thanks to fifteen owners who have accepted to open their sites. In the beautiful cloister of San Francesco there will also be an exhibition on the varieties grown on the Alto Garda, on ancient agricultural tools and on the construction techniques of the lemon groves. Do not miss a local productions market. For more information: www.terresapori.it.
