The forecast is ambitious: 72,000 visitors in four days. Last year there were 60,000, registered for Golositalia & Aliment: but the organizers are ready to bet that this year the event will definitely do better with the fifth edition of the food and wine festival, scheduled from February 27 to March 1 at the Centro Fiera del Garda in Montichiari. The numbers are in fact already record-breaking, with 620 exhibitors, five pavilions occupied (compared to four last year), a calendar of over 120 events including the now celebrated “Trismoka Challenge”, the bartenders championship organized for the 12th consecutive year from the historic coffee company of Paratico (in the Brescia area). The fair will also give a chance to visit the nearby territory:  for the occasion, the Montichiari museums will be open for the entire duration of the event and will offer free entry for those who will show the fair tickets. The calendar is filled with seminars, courses, tastings, with a comprehensive overview of Italian and international gastronomic delights. Many curiosities worth mentioning: the Chamber of Commerce in Budapest will offer tastings of Hungarian street food, while in the competition The Most Goloso the aspiring pastry chefs will have to grapple with the preparation of a cake that will be judged by none other than master Iginio Massari. Entrance tickets 7 €, reduced 5, free for children up to 10 years and for operators registered on golositalia.it site.
