Sergio Delai winery in Puegnago has won the Palio of Groppello 2016: the traditional award, now in its 46th edition, was as always assigned by the Brotherhood of Groppello during the traditional dinner  hosted by chef Carlo Bresciani in the halls of the Antica Cascina San Zago restaurant in Salò.

The selection of the 16 samples of the 2015 vintage presented in the competition was carried out by eight experts in early October: three types have been chosen for the final night to be submitted to the judgment of the members of the Brotherhood, with Groppello by Averoldi winery in Bedizzole and Pietta in Muscoline to contend for victory that went eventually to Delai, the cellar of which we recently talked about here on Garda Expo (read the interview with Sergio Delai at this link: http://http://www.gardaexpo.com/en/delai-il-groppello-fra-tradizione-e-innovazione/).

As always, the winner label will become the official wine of the association and will be served for the next 12 months in all appointments and dinners of the Brotherhood headed by Massimo Piergentili
