The eighth edition of “Italia in Rosa”, the Garda festival of rosé wines, has been a veri huge success, recording the highest peak attendance in the history of the event: over 5000 people crowded the Castle of Moniga del Garda for three days starting June 5 to attend the festival, thanks to a favorable climate, which over the weekend gave the people a real advance of summer. It was the first time that Italia in Rosa took place in the castle, and the new location, with stunning and spectacular views of Lake Garda, has been much appreciated: the event has hosted 116 wineries from all over Italy for a total of more than 180 labels for tasting. There’s been a sharp increase in the presence of young consumers, who now have a share of about 60% with a strong female percentage.
The organizers are now at work on the 2016 edition, which will introduce many news as a larger exposition area of about 11 thousand square meters and innovations such as a market of rosé wines and typical products of the area.
