More confirmations than news for Lake Garda in the Michelin Guide 2017: presented in Parma, the 62nd edition of the “Red French Guide” continues to consider Villa Feltrinelli in Gargnano as the best restaurant on the banks of the largest Italian lake, the only one admitted in the exclusive Two Stars area (award given only to 41 restaurants in Italy).

Behind the restaurant of Stefano Baiocco there’s a team of eight great names awarded wiith One Star that once again sees clearly prevail the Brescia side of Garda, with five top addresses among which there are “veterans” as the Esplanade in Desenzano (the restaurant opened in 1979 by Emanuele Signorini, now backed by chef Massimo Fezzardi, got his first star in 1990), as the Capriccio by Giuliana Germiniasi and Francesca Tassi, the Tortuga Gargnano, the Rucola in Sirmione. Of more recent rise the Star of Lido 84 in Gardone Riviera, which with its modern charm and cutting edge is now generally regarded as one of the most important destinations to have emerged in recent years in Italian excellence cuisine.

On the Verona side, la Casa degli Spiriti in Costermano leaves the stage (due to closure), but there’s a new entry in the list, namely La Veranda of Bardolino, which is in addition to two now well known addresses known as the Oseleta in Cavaion and the Vecchia Malcesine .

Among the Bib Gourmand award given to exercises that offer a distinctly regional cuisine of quality with full menu at less than 32 euros (35 in the capital cities and major tourist areas), there are Villa Aurora in Soiano and Cortiletto in Toscolano.
