“The 2017 season on Lake Garda got started in the best of ways: the premises of an excellent year must accelerate a common promotional path based on the unity of the forces present on the territory.”

So Giovanna Prandini, president of the Garda Wine and Flavors Road  summarizes the positive feelings of the operators after the end of Easter, which has seen Benaco as one of the privileged destinations of Italian and international tourists.

“After the compulsory appointment to two key industry showcases such as Prowein and Vinitaly, where our wineries presented their productions in advance, we had a beautiful Easter surprise with sold out everywhere and an extraordinary increase in arrivals – explains the leader of the Road -. The tourist season has really begun under the best conditions, and now I believe that the territory has a golden opportunity to maximize these exceptional results by reinforcing and expanding its proposal through a new synergy vision. ”

According to Giovanna Prandini, Garda must come to ensure the tourist has a 360 degree sensory experience, which becomes the ideal promotional flyer to relieve both casual and casual visitors.

“We have everything we need to give unforgettable emotions. Expo’s work created a revival of the thematic proposal of a holiday that can find different content on nearby territories: not only beach and sun, but also hospitality, culture, entertainment, agriculture, and gastronomy. Today we are undoubtedly collecting the first tangible fruits of an important sowing job: but now we must go beyond to imagine a network that allows tourists not only to know where to stay, where to sleep pr eat, but also where to deepen their sensory and food and wine experience, Discovering the places of production, the great excellence of the territory. On this front, the Wine Road is at the forefront: our association assures, by statute, a rigorous qualitative selection to the source of its associated members. And close collaboration with Gardamusei has allowed us to throw a first important bridge between flavors and culture. ”

Amongst the 2017 news of the Road, the launch of a new online booking system for visits in the wineries. “A new tool that is being developed, which will be a new and extraordinary opportunity to organize a visit to the territory that is increasingly rich in experience. An extremely significant project that should extend to the territory with the collaboration of our Consortiums, namely Lugana and Valtènesi: two realities to which we want to look with a new spirit, with the objective of creating the conditions to communicate together well, through an articulated strategy that can benefit from a common vision at a stage never so positive for Garda. ”

Over the next few months, the Road will renew its engagement with historic events such as the Garda Sounds and Flavors (a major cultural event in collaboration with the Garda Community) and the Lake Fish Festival, reinforcing its presence at Major events scheduled in the municipalities of the area.

“But the most important goal – concludes Giovanna Prandini – is to complete by the end of 2017 this unity: we intend to strengthen a coordination that, in addition to the Wine Road and Gardamusei, can include realities active on tourism promotion as the Consorzio Lago di Garda Lombardia, in addition to the aforementioned consortiums of Lugana and Valtènesi and that of the Oil Garda Dop. Only in this way can we fully exploit the effects of the work already undertaken by the Lombardy Region, Brescia Tourism and Garda Unico: Garda can not be a territory that is content to live on its laurels, and never as Today there are the conditions to do an extraordinary job together. “
