It’s a now traditional appointment, which as always comes back when autumn has just begun, when in the vineyards the last bunches of grapes are about to fall, and all around Garda and its hinterland dress itself with the charming colours the changing season. This the frame in which the wineries of the Brescia Riviera of Lake Garda are preparing to celebrate the 15th edition of “Profumi di Mosto”, the gourmet circuit scheduled for the entire day on Sunday, October 9 from 11 to 6 pm.
It is one of the few events that involve an entire Doc territory and his consortium in welcoming visitors during the phases of the grape harvest, it has gathered over time more and more success, especially among young people, and even this year it keeps true to his classic and appreciated formula.
23 companies will open their doors to the “aficionados”, divided into three itineraries articulated between Desenzano and San Felice, through the towns of the hinterland as Calvagese, Bedizzole and Puegnago and those bordering the lake as Moniga, Manerba, Padenghe.
Each winery will offer tastings of their wines made mostly with native vine Groppello, from Chiaretto to red, combined with the culinary creations of some of the best chefs in the area, or matched with gastronomic specialties of the same winery or local products. All the wines offered during the day will be available for tasting throughout the day at the big tasting event organized in Villa Galnica Puegnago, home of Valtènesi Consortium, which will also host the final toast open to all visitors at 7 pm with music from the Teen Town band. For each path there’s a carnet of 10 tasting (8 wineries + one winery chosen from the other two circuits and Villa Galnica) at a cost of 28 euros including glass. You can purchase the carnets at any winery from which you will choose to leave, but they will also be available in advance at the reduced price of 25 Euros on the profumidimosto.it site, where you can also learn about the routes and see all the wine-food matchings. Flexible tickets bought in advance will be withdrawable at Villa Galnica Puegnago or Desenzano. It will also be possibile to live the event in safety and tranquility with a tour bus (reservations are required by writing to info@profumidimosto.it or by calling 370-1108423).
