The arrival of autumn brings polenta on the table again: a dish that’s a real symbol of the gastronomic tradition of northern Italy, and that this weekend will be celebrated in all its forms in Storo, a town in the province of Trento well known for the production of its typical corn flour. Arrived at its second edition, the event is scheduled for Saturday 8 and Sunday 9: two days in yellow full of events that revolve around the tasting and evaluation of dishes and recipes created by the “polenter” of Storo of course with the local flour, that comes from the cultivation of a variety of corn, a cross between Nostrano and Maranello, with orange-red grain. It all starts on Saturday 8 with a carriage path between fields during the cobs harvesting, then on Sunday the jury will compete in tasting the recipes: the streets and squares of Storo will become the stage of the best local products, from sausages to mountain cheeses up to medicinal herbs and to potatoes.
