Sailing and kitchen: in Salò the Garda Cooking Cup

Everything is ready in Salò for the first edition of the “Garda Cooking Cup”, a new sailing-culinary competition organized by PO Box Garda in collaboration with the municipality and the Canottieri Garda Company: scheduled two days of performances, show cooking, flavors and regattas in the magnificent setting of the Gulf of Salò. All begins in the morning of Saturday, September 24th with the arrival of the boats, while in Victoria Square will be set up the village of Cooking Cup which will be opened at 10 am with opening of the stands: many events expected during the day, including the presentation of crews and cooks scheduled for 5pm. About 15 boats expected, carrying the cooks of restaurants of Salo and surroundings, that on Sunday 25 from 10.30 am will compete in a sailing competition and at the same time gastronomy, with chefs working below deck to prepare their recipes. A jury composed among others by chefs Davide Oldani and Carlo Bresciani, vice president of the Italian Federation of Chefs, will judge the dish and dessert prepared on board. At 4.30 the awards: the winner will be the bard who has reached the highest combined score between the result of the race and the dishes evaluation. In the meantime, Vittoria Square will held talk shows and other events open to the public, with tastings of typical Garda products.
