There are also three Lake Garda “addresses” in the guide “Italian Pizzerias 2016” by Gambero Rosso: the first is Rossi&Rossi in Desenzano (with evaluation of One Spicchio or “slice” in the category Pizza Italian Style), and always on the Brescia side of the lake there’s the new entry of Belvedere da Marietta in Gardone Riviera (in this case the rating is also One Slice in the category Pizza Italian style). Finally, on the Veronese coast in Bussolengo, the local Pizza & Birra has earnerd an evaluation of Two Wheels (dedicated to the “pizza al taglio” category) with some particular specialties dedicated to the greatest Italian chefs, like the pizza Alajmo or Perbellini.

Presented recently in Naples, the Gambero Rosso guide aims to build a map with some of the most representative addresses in the “renaissance of the pizza” which for some years has been characterizing the symbol of italian gastronomy: a dish for which Italians spend almost three millions euro a year.

The final results of the tastings have benne divided as ever in three categories, namely Pizza Napoletana, Pizza Italiana and Pizza Degustazione (the so-called “gourmet pizza”): the best selected pizzerias were awarded a judgment that goes from the top award of Three Slices until One Slice, while the wheels are signaling the best in take away pizza.
