That’s Garda: a day in Salò dedicated to oil

A new Garda event to combine oil and tourism: the Antica Cascina San Zago restaurant in Salò will provide the setting for “That’s Garda”, the day of the Garda Dop extra virgin olive oil scheduled for March 25th. An event open to the public (not coincidentally on Palm Sunday) from 10 am to 6 pm to know and taste the oil of the territory but also wines, cheeses and other products “made in Garda”: rich program of side events, from the ceremony for the delivery of the inter-regional Olio Garda Dop prize organized by Consorzio Garda Dop and Federazione Italiana Cuochi to reward the best recipe presented by the hotel institutes of the Benaco area, up to the round table on oil and hospitality scheduled at 9.45am. In the afternoon, guided tastings of Valtènesi wines (with the introduction of president Alessandro Luzzago) and at 3pm a workshop to learn how to taste the oil with Andrea Bertazzi, president of the Garda Dop. Finally, at 4:00 pm it will be up to Lugana: introduction by the president Luca Formentini. Free admission, glass for tastings 5 ​​euros.
