Third appointment with Valtènesi con Gusto, the food and wine festival for the promotion of extra virgin olive oil DOP Garda organized by the Consortium with the Garda wines and flavours road and East Lombardy. Friday, March 24, the event will grant a transgression “off-site” with a stop in town at Lorenzaccio, Brescia’s historic restaurant opened back in July of 1973, and now as then managed by Mauro and Alba Puccini with daughter Micol. For over forty years ahead of the curve, the local was able to represent a safe address for many, as well as a model of longevity in an industry where the “turnover” is swirling. Always faithful to the festival Valtènesi with Gusto, Mauro Puccini decided to participate also in the spring edition of this year with a menu created for the occasion. Here it is.

Ricottino organic cauliflower with creamy gorgonzola, honey and Garda Dop Oil

Bagoss Tortello with thyme perfumed butter

Millefeuille of potatoes and creamed pike with Garda Dop Oil

Strawberry mousse and dark chocolate beans

The oil presented in the course of the evening is the one produced by the Brolo Farm in Polpenazze, while the wines paired with dishes are by the winery Le Gaine of Bedizzole. The menu is priced at 30 Euros: Reservations at 030-220457
