“Valtènesi con Gusto”, it’s the turn of Antiche Rive restaurant

Fifth step for the gastronomic circuit “Valtènesi with Taste”, the itinerary in nine dinners dedicated to the enhancement of extra virgin olive oil Garda Dop organized by the Consortium with the Garda Wines and Flavours Road and East Lombardy. Friday, April 7 the review is starring in Salò in the halls of Antiche Rive restaurant, that although only at the beginning of its third season has already carved out an important place in the scenery of Lake Garda restaurants. The latest confirmation of this is arrived Tuesday night from the fourth edition of “A flower in the pot”, a contest hosted in the Vallecamonica event “Darfo Boario Terme in Fiore”, where the Salò restaurant managed by Manuel Garbellini and Paola Betta had already distinguished itself in 2016 (category main courses) triumphing with his Pike in Carbone: well, this year Antiche Rive has been able to excel again in the preferences of the jury chaired by the star chef Riccardo Camanini of Lido 84 in Gardone, winning in the category of pasta dishes with “Risotto Bresciano Where the lake meets the land and the sea”: a creation in which pike and whitefish marry mussels and clams in a marriage “blessed” by a creamy saffron Pozzolengo and the ever present Garda oil (and the inevitable edible flowers, required by regulation of the contest).

 

The praise goes especially to Sokol Xibri (from left in the photo with Paola and Manuel), the 29 year-old chef of Albanian origins blessed by a pyrotechnic and outside the lines: and to sample its cuisine, no better time of the Friday dinner.
